Word of Mouth

Word of Mouth (WOM) is still the king when it comes to choose a product or service.

According to a research contacted by Pulse Market Research and My Opinion online panel, 9 out of 10 Cypriots are more likely to select a brand if it’s recommended by someone they know.

More specifically, WOM scored 87% compared with 80% in 2014.



Along with WOM, the second and third source of advertising with the biggest trust are branded web sites 70% and users’ comments and testimonials 67%.

Internet banners are ranked on the last places as a way of advertising with almost 1 out of 4 Cypriot consumers stating that they trust. They show low confidence in influencers (26%) and the advertising messages they receive on their mobile phones (28%) as well as ads that appear on mobile phones or tablets (29%).
